Ever since I was about 3 years old, I have been swimming. At that age, it was more like learning how to 'not drown'. Over time, I fell in love with swimming and the water in general. When I was 6, I joined a summer swim team, very similar to the Bluefins. It was at that point that I started to enjoy the competition, against others and myself, as well as being part of a team. For the past 4 years, I have been swimming at Mecklenburg Swim Association (MSA), where I have continued to improve both my technique as well as my times. In addition, I earned a spot to swim for the ILHS team (Go Warriors!) where I received the sportsmanship award back to back, in 2022 and 2023. Another favorite pastime of mine is Water Polo. I play for the Carolina Water Polo Club. I aim to help our kids learn how to swim technically correct/legal (and fast), encourage good sportsmanship, and just have a blast.
Hi Bridgemill Bluefins family! My name is Sophie Walker, and I am so excited to be a coach for the Bluefins for the 2026 season. I am currently a high school junior at Indian Land High School, and I am part of the Upper Palmetto Rays Swim Team in Fort Mill. Swimming has always been such a passion of mine, and I'm so excited to be able to share this passion with you all! Go Bluefins!!!
Hi, my name is Ana. I’ve always loved the water (and the Beach!) and have been swimming with the Bluefins since I was 8 years old, more for fun than anything else as I think that’s the most important reason to do it. I started off self taught -though my mom and you tube helped! I love learning new techniques to swim faster. I especially love flip turns and backstroke. In the last two years, I swam on the Indian Land High School team and currently, the Rays at the YMCA. I interned last year for the Bluefins and enjoyed it immensely. I can’t wait for this season to coach and help the kids grow their passion for swimming.
