2024 Bluefins All Star Meet Volunteers Needed!

Good Morning Bluefins Family,

The 2024 All Star Swim Meet is on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at 1:00PM and we need several volunteer positions listed below.  I also added back-up positions so if a primary volunteer can not participate , we have an alternate ready to fill in and we are not scrambling to cover.

If you have not already fulfilled the 4 required positions for the season - this is an excellent opportunity to do so!!!

It is critical that we fill all positions as a league requirement and will move up any alternates if primary is not filled. Please go on to Swimtopia and sign up by Friday at 12:00PM! Text me if you have any questions (704) 975-9736!

(1) Primary and (1) Alternate - Parking Attendant: Pre-Event 11:00-1:00PM:

Responsible for validating only 3 parking passes per team are used for the main lot and directing all other vehicles to park in other lots. Volunteers will be given a clipboard, pencil and a checklist of teams. Advantage - will be done prior to meet!

(2) Primary and (2) Alternate On Deck Parent Monitor 11:30-4PM:

You must be a strong clerk to be in this position!! Each team may designate up to 3 On-Deck Parent Monitors. Responsible for assisting coaches, reps to get swimmers to the blocks on time. Some teams' areas may be in the mezzanine. For teams in this section, it is important for the Parent Monitor to assist the coaches with getting the swimmers down to the deck for their event, specifically the younger, less experienced swimmers. Parent Monitors will also be responsible for oversight of swimmers and team area, and making sure swimmers are safe and the area stays clean. Parent Monitors will also be designated as the contact person for parents if/when needed. Parent Monitors will be required to provide their cell phone number which will be shared with the team parents. Items to bring: printed heat sheet from home

(1) Primary and (1) Alternate Door Monitor 11:00AM – 4:00PM:

Responsible for keeping swimmers/parents/spectators from entering the building and the competition deck until 30 minutes prior to warm ups and when a lifeguard is in position. Door monitors will also ensure no food, drink or glass containers enter the pool deck and will also be responsible for checking the restrooms periodically to ensure safe sport regulations are being followed. Station location: Outside front door of building and at the door in lobby going out to the pool deck. No unattended exterior doors may be “propped” open at any time.
